THANKSGIVING

In Thanksgiving in my school (Escuela Bella Vista) we make a thanksgiving lunch or a thanksgiving dinner when the families come to the school and eat together as a big community. Thanksgiving is a very important holiday we celebrate here and in USA, Canada, Liberia, Puerto Rico and Norfolk Island. It has different dates of celebration depending in the country you are celebrating it, for example: in Canada they celebrate thanksgiving the 2^nd Monday of October, in Liberia is the 1^st Thursday of November, in Norfolk Island they celebrate thanksgiving the last Wednesday in November and in USA they celebrate thanksgiving the 4^th Thursday of November. This holiday is usually celebrated as a secular holiday. Thanksgiving is very important to me and to my school because in this day we can give thanks to everybody who has ever done something nice to us and is time to say thanks with a lunch or dinner to show them how much it helped us and that we are thankful with them. In 2012 my school will celebrate the Thanksgiving lunch the 21^st of November.
